A lot of people probably wonder how a group like us has gotten to be where we are.  Everyone has to start somewhere.

When we first founded NDC we never actually thought it was going to grow like it has.  If we actually thought it would catch and start something we probably would have choosen a better name.  I mean come on, NIX DIX, its cool and everything but not at all serious. But hey, neither are we.  We're just a bunch of guys who love to wakeboard whether we're good at it or not.  We have just as much landing on our heads as we do landing a trick we've been workin on.  Its all about bein on the water all day and lovin every minute of it.

So after we got the name we started to get a little more serious and spendin more time on the water.  In order to do this Dad bought a Mastercraft Prostar 209 during the January Boat Show at te World Congress Center in 2002.  Since the boat is the Moore's they usually brought their best friends who eventually became the original crew: Chris Moore, Shelley Moore, Blake Moore, Brad Gates, Patrik Kalstrom, Ryan Abbe, Brandon Bailey, Rachel Hathaway and of coarse, Dad.

After Patrik left the crew picked up with Brad Gates, Ryan Abbe, Greg Stribos, and Brandon Bailey.  Chris continued to advance in the trick list leaving everyone far behind.  Blake, although he was a natural also, took a few bad falls and since he is younger got a little scared of the hitting the water before he grasped his balls again and landed his wake to wake jumps and his first backroll.  Shelley was the next to be taught how to tear it up in the water.  After gettig her first board for her birthday she quickly realized how bad ass the sport is and loved it more then her varsity sports at Centennial High School.  The crew grew really close over the year and now live everyday together trying to take their wakeboarding skills to the next level.

Alright, so where did we get the name anyways.  Nix Bridge Park, Lake Lanier, Georgia baby.  Beofre we considered ourselves a crew we had a favorite place to ride just like everyone else, ours just happened to be this spot.  So we thought, hey we're a bunch of guys, we ride at a place with Nix in the name, Dix rhymes with Nix, so why not Nix Dix.  So it stuck, and we've been Nix Dix ever since.  It actually didn't come to us that easily, it took a little thought but not to much.  But ya gotta understand, it might seem simple to you, but you haven't lost as many brain cells as we have.  We put a good beatin on the water.  Some times we have to make sure the waters in better shape then the rider who just hit it is.

Since Chris and Blake had a year advantage behind em, they already knew how to wakeboard and quickly taught everyone the basics.  Patrik Kalstom, our swedish member, was the very first to give chris competeion quickly advancing his trick list after have been taugth by chris and only wakeboarding with chris.  He was a true natural, or maybe he's just good at all sports.  Sadly Patrik moved back to Sweden and has returned one since he left after his seventh week of boardin.

The most recent member added to the crew is Rachel Hathaway, Chris's beautiful girlfriend.  They actually meet on the boat.  Now the only thing left to do is progress.  So look for NDC on the North end of Lake Lanier and at every Ga tournament this season.  Hope to see yall around.
